Why Drum Corps Inspired My Life?

Quote from Phantom Regiment 2011:

"Anyone can tell a story, but no one can leave you spellbound like Phantom Regiment"

"We're here for the audience, always! Whether we're 1st place, whether we're 9th place. We are here for the audience, and we play with persistence, power, and passion. Some people have power, doesn't matter if we don't got passion and persistence. We're gonna keep coming at you, we're gonna come at you every single night, Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday Night. We're gonna keep that audience always wanting more."

"It is your role to inspire them. What you have right now, these are precious moments. It's time like this that we live for. To inspire audience, to take them places that they have never been before, and you're the only corps that is capable of doing that. All of the highs, and the lows, and everything in between. You're the only group that is capable of bringing all of those emotions to life."

"Because it has the heart, it has the passion, it has the spirit, and doing whatever it takes to leave on. What legacy are you gonna leave? Make your mark starting tonight."

"Everything is made out of moments, just like your summer is made out of key moments, and maybe this will be one of them where we turn the corner."

"It's your show. At this point, we hand it over to you. With love."

Quote from Holy Name Cadets 2010"

"It's a feeling that's hard to describe because it is something that you know that you had spend so much time and effort into. And to know that it sorta ends? It is sorta like a dream."

"A brass instrument is one of those unique instruments that you can feel what the person is feeling. What you're feeling, the audience is feeling, and that is what it's like to stand in front of 72 great musicians. You feel the love for the instruments, you feel the love for the drum corps, and the love to perform."

"When we get to perform, that's our payoff. That's our reward for working all day under the hot sun and falling rain. And when people stand up and showing gratitude for what we've done on the field, it's the best."
